This policy explains what personal data Skillvila collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to skillvila.com and all Skillvila pages.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, username, and profile content you add.
- Billing data: subscription status and plan. Payment card details are handled by Lemon Squeezy (subscriptions) and PayPal (product purchases) and never stored by Skillvila.
- Purchases: when you buy a product with PayPal, we keep the order, the amount and the email address PayPal gives us, so we can send you your files. The creator who sold the product sees your email so they can support you.
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location from IP address, device and browser type. To show prices in your currency (for example AUD in Australia), we look up the country of your IP address with country.is and keep only the two-letter country code in a cookie.
- Communications: messages you send to us.
How we use it
- To provide and secure the Service and your account.
- To process subscriptions and send receipts and service emails.
- To show creators analytics about their own pages.
- To improve the Service and prevent fraud and abuse.
Marketing pixels set by creators
Creators can connect their own advertising and analytics tools (for example Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or Google Analytics) to their Skillvila pages. When you visit those pages, these providers may receive data about your visit under their own privacy policies. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before these tools load.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run Skillvila (hosting, email delivery, payments through PayPal and Lemon Squeezy, currency lookup, analytics), when required by law, or with your consent.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union, with appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep account data while your account is active and delete or anonymize it within 90 days after you close your account, unless we must keep it longer by law.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing, by emailing hello@skillvila.com. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, to remember your country and currency choice, and to credit the person who recommended a product to you for 30 days. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only as described above.
Children
Skillvila is not intended for children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post updates on this page and notify account holders of material changes.
